About Us
The team behind Forex Trading are a bunch of Brits and Swedes with a background in finance, technology and forex trading. Those who actively work with the website and its content work from London (UK), Stockholm (Sweden), Marbella in Spain, Lisbon in Portugal, Luleå in Sweden and Mexico City in Mexico. We are continuously adding new content writers in order to grow the website.
Our experience working with finance, software and online forex trading is longer than 17 years each, ie. a total of over 50 years for the three founders. Here we test, review, rate and look after our visitors’ interest.
There are also great opportunities to find new currency brokers, or specific players depending on what you are looking for. The goal is to make it easy to get started with forex trading, preferably in just a few minutes if you already have some experience of trading online. The company behind www.ForexTrading.uk is called Forex Trading in UK Limited and our goal is to make it easier for those interested in investing and trading forex, commodities, cryptocurrencies, indices and shares. For the majority of all trading sites mentioned, we have a partnership with them, receiving a small commission for every lead becoming a real customer.
Finding the right broker is not always so easy, as it is important to do a thorough due diligence of the broker you choose to trade with. There are constantly new brokerage platforms where you can trade forex online, but only a few of them are serious enough to pass our tests and end up on top of our charts. We have been in the industry for over 17 years each and look at this long-term, which means that we care about our reputation and which brands we recommend to our visitors. We have seen brokers come and go and can relatively quickly determine if a broker is investing long-term or just looking for short-term profits. The remuneration we receive from the forex brokers will not be higher for unscrupulous players, but rather the opposite, because the most serious are long-term and care about doing a good job, just like us. Therefore, even from a financial perspective, we do not want to work with rogue forex brokers. The sites listed at the top are the most credible on the market, which after extensive tests proved to be the place where to trade.
Table of Contents: Overview
This is Marcus, founder
Marcus has a Master of Science in Computer Science with a focus on marketing and he is our in-house crypto expert. He is well aware of the technology around both cryptocurrencies and how to mine both Ethereum and Bitcoin. Marcus is also our innovative developer, with technical solutions that make it easier for both our readers and employees as well as the one who makes sure that the technical solutions are in place.
He manages the strategy for ForexTrading.uk and handles discussions with key partners. Marcus has worked with partners online for over 20 years and is an expert in marketing. He was previously involved in R&D for the gaming industry as responsible for important developments for the world’s largest poker company, before joining and running a leading casino site. He has been involved in online trading for over 17 years now and always follows what is happening in the market.
Marcus likes to trade with Stormgain which is a pure crypto broker or CEX to buy cryptocurrencies. For ordinary, so-called traditional forex trading, Skilling is one of his favorites. That site is founded by some of the leading Scandinavians tech entrepreneurs and has an exceptionally simple and user-friendly interface. When Marcus wants to trade with flexible leverage, or completely without leverage, then he goes to eToro which recently got listed as part of a SPAC under the name FTCV on Nasdaq.
Marcus usually describes that ForexTrading.uk’s goal as helping traders to avoid rogue brokers and instead become long-term traders, so they can learn more about the market and understand the risks and thus find better opportunities, so they can earn more when they start trading online.
This is Markus, co-founder & editor-in-chief
Markus has been interested in forex trading since studying at University of Lund, where he read financial economics and was responsible for training around financial systems such as
Bloomberg Professional, Thomson Reuters (called Eikon now) and SIX at the financial association Linc Lund.
Markus has been trading currency online since 2004, when he first came into contact with forex trading and created some of the most prominent sites in Swedish in this area. When his friend and business partner from one previously successful projects wanted to develop Valutahandel.se (the Swedish name for “forex trading”), Markus joined as a co-founder, with responsibility for content and certain types of marketing.
His goal is to make better reviews of forex brokers, online trading companies and crypto brokers available to Brits.
He tries to make it clearer and easier to follow – regardless of your level or experience. It should just take a few seconds after you see a review, until you understand if this is for you or not.
The goal for Markus is that you should find suitable sites for trading, while it should be fun and interesting to read at the same time. Markus himself likes to trade with Skilling (review), Capital (review), Binance, Crypto.com and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken (ENS) – but often tries other alternatives as well. He has completely abandoned Metamask, as the fees are too high on the ETH chain. He now trades crypto primarily with eToro, while pausing with PancakeSwap & Binance, since Binance Coin got a higher regulatory risk at the moment. Further, Binance is not allowed for trading in the UK and we believe it will continue to be like that.
